I love the Worthington’s!  I have since the very first book, as usual Ella Quinn has done it again! Now, it is Lady Charlotte’s turn, the evil Miss Betsey, is alive, and out for Revenge. On the day Lady Charlotte is kidnapped, sweet little Jimmy hops onto the back of the carriage of the kidnappers! The child is only 5, or 6 years old! However, the lady he loves is in danger! A footman, sees the Marquis of Kenilworth im his phaeton, going in the opposite direction, and begs for his help, in rescuing Lady Charlotte

The selfish Marquis can think of only one thing, he is off to see his Mistress, and doesn’t have time for being an honorable gentleman! However, it seems there is no on but him to intercede! He looks at his watch, and decides, he possibly has time to rescue the young chit, get back to bathe, off to the theater with Aimee, his Mistress. Do we notice a trend here, a young innocent lady is kidnapped, he is concerned with keeping his appointment with well, you know! Off he goes to follow the carriage, he sees the young boy hanging onto the back of his carriage, follows him to an Inn on the outside of London. This is just the beginning of a witty, romance, that brings up the morals of the Aristocracy male, the danger to a lady’s reputation, and the sordid underbelly of London Society!

When he finally does meet up with Lady Charlotte, she is nothing like he thought she would be! For one thing, she is not impressed with his title, his looks, or money! This has never happened to him before, in fact, he has always believed it is one of his best features! I am deducting one half Pearl, for the use of the term giggle! I do this with every book, no matter how much I admire the Author. Intelligent, young ladies don’t giggle, they laugh!
